First…
…yoga I’ve ever done. Pretty fun. Difficult.
…time I’ve run 7 miles. It felt good. 9:30 mins/mile pace. Plenty of room for improvement, but glad I got the distance down.
…experience being on the receiving end of a deluge of résumés. I represented Gambro BCT at the CU internship and career fair yesterday, and having seen hundreds of candidates stopping by, I quickly became attuned to qualities that make me think, “Wow! This guy is good.”
…time I’ve purchased any food at a Starbuck’s.
…weekend this month I won’t be able to ski.
you're not alone; there is more to this, i know

This site is sweet! Play around with the map function. You can set waypoints and then route back to start and track how far your runs are. Thanks to Sarah for the link. Now I can see how long the routes through parks are!

Friday night we went to Pat’s, which was obviously awesome. I love dancing. It didn’t really work out well for skiing on Saturday however. :/
More importantly though, after literally DAYS out in the freezing Colorado winter, I was able to accomplish another one of my life goals: beard icicles.
And just for good measure, here’s a picture of Ryan and Daisy from Keystone on Sunday:

The Game
Jan 22nd
In the past 36 hours, I read all 452 pages of Neil Strauss’ The Game. The book was fantastic. Having finished Sex, Ecology, Spirituality by Ken Wilber on Saturday afternoon, jumping right into lighter reading was so unbelievably welcome.
It’s not that I don’t like Wilber’s writing. It’s just that he’s addressing such core issues that sometimes it’s hard to read his work without taking the time to process everything that he’s saying and its implications.
Meanwhile, I’d recommend The Game to any of my guy friends, and most of my girl friends (who will be thoroughly disgusted by it). The book is hilarious/sweet/hilarious.
you were a child, crawlin' on your knees toward me

A Basin or Keystone tomorrow (Saturday) and any of the 5-mountain resorts on Sunday. Daisy + McAteer + Konkel = sweet company.
Derf derf shorts bort.

Aspen this weekend was brilliant. 16″ of freshies on Highlands, and soft snow and untracked glades the next day at Ajax. Fucking unreal. We got first tracks in the Highland Bowl as well on the powder day, so that was just…yeah. I have not the words.

Life other than that has been awesome. I’m in a great mood these days. I miss playing FFXI a little bit. I don’t miss the losery feeling that it gave me, or the complete time suck that it is. But I really miss the people. Dakin applied to rzer0, which is so sweet. I wish that I knew his abilities these days so I could vouch for him on the forums, but I really can’t give much other than a character reference. :/ Diu lor.
My to-do list is a mile long, and I’m just getting started on it. Going to stay late today at work, because I stayed up late last night… Got in this morning around 9:00, but I’m not too torn up about it! I woke up in a fantastic mood this morning, had a particulary nice shower, and actually made coffee!
I’ve decided to make a list of stuff that I want, since my birthday is coming up on the 31st. I would like:
•Stockli Laser GS -or- Volkl RaceTiger GS
•Tele lessons and gear.
•More sweet (read: mega-short) running shorts, running shirts, socks
•A sweet Rolex, Bulova or Breitling watch
•A new Subaru Outback w/ sexy engine
•Carmen Electra’s Official Aerobic Strip Tease Workout tape
•Another 2 hours in every day
•Real wine glasses
•A personal assistant / housemaid / masseuse for free forevs
•Sweet alarm clock that doesn’t make everyone want to die. Also, keeps proper time.
•To get into grad school without having to worry about it forevs
•A raise
•Some nice sport coats
•Some nice slacks
•Some nice shirts
•An iPod nano or shuffle for running, w/ little strappy thingy
•Quality headphones for running that don’t fall out of ears
•To not miss my friends who live in different states, my grandfathers or my brother.
•A video camera, small, compact, decent resolution

iPhone. is. so. sweet.
I had a bloody nose last night, randomly, which got on my best shirt. Brandon helped me doctor Jimbo back to health though, with some cold water and spray ‘n’ wash. I’m happy to report that Jimbo will be returning to work Monday.
Then today, at lunch, my nose started bleeding again. Only it wouldn’t stop. I immediately grabbed my napkin from my lap and pressed it to my nose, but I was out eating curry at a restaurant, and there was curry on my napkin which was immediately flung onto my face. 15 minutes later, I gave up, got a to-go box, and made Jen drive my car back to work.
The past month has been pretty good, for various reasons. Let me just make a list of stuff though:
•Christian is awesome. Had a sick night out with him last night.
•Blood Diamond and The Good Shepherd are great movies!
•I finally bonded with my Aunt Judy. I think we are friends now.
•Skiing is sweet. I am pretty much in lurve with it.
•Barry, Julian and Xavier are the man(s) and hanging with them around xmas was awesome.
•Coming home from Aspen to hang out with Bkonk and Ryan has been equally as awesome.
•Work is sweet.
•I miss Pete.
